Presentation types
Presentation types is the basic classification of data in Signifikant used for parts, assemblies, catalogues, documents etc. Presentation types has a base type and can be its own type.

Usage
In the presentation type storage it is possible to define new presentation types of a base type. Each presentation type may have a set of attributes.
Always set code on each presentation type. This code is used by Search Manager when configuring how search in web viewer shall behave.
Attribute | Usage |

Code | Controls how search behaves in web viewer. Search Manager in profile.config. |
Name | Name is used in storages in Manager as well as when presenting search results in web viewer. |

Image | Default image in web viewer in the case that a presentation of that type is not having an image. |
Search | Set a parent to define a sub type. Eg. Products / Windows. Sub types will appear as indented types in advanced search. See Technical documentation - Search Manager and Search version 5.1 and later for more information. |
Permissions | Allows to set permissions on an entire type. |
Specifications | Allows to set specifications on an entire type. Might be useful to add searchable key words on an entire type. |
Changing presentation type
It is possible to change presentatition type within the same base type. Eg. change an assembly to type kit.
To change one presentation from a type to another use the presentation’s pane area and change type:
