Deploy application failure doe to denied access

Problem

Deploy application ends with Failure and shows a message that “Access to path C:\ProgramData\… is denied”.

Solution

The reason for the failure is that the file is locked, normally by another application. Try the below actions to resolve the file being locked.

• Reset or stop IIS

• Stop Signifikant Service and other application services

• Possibly end Signifikant Service and other application services if not closed by stopping them

• Close Manager application (and reset IIS)

• Close Notepad++, it may keep files open and locked

• Ensure other users are not logged in and keeps Manager application or files open
