Autohotspotting does not work - cannot find liblept172.dll

Symptom

When selecting the autohotspotting button on an illustration, an unhandled exception will appear with the following exception text:

************** Exception Text ************** System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.DllNotFoundException: Failed to find library "liblept172.dll" for platform x64.

Root cause

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable library is not installed on the machine that runs the Signifikant Manager. This is a library that is installed on most PCs and servers which explains why this issue only occurs on a few machines.

Workaround for version 5.0.x and before

  1. Close Signifikant Manager

  2. Download and install the library from Microsofts support site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685

  3. Restart Signifikant Manager

Solution from version 5.1

Starting from version 5.1 the installation program will include the library and install it if needed.
