Technical instruction - Configure Application Pool Identity

Open IIS Manager.

Navigate to Application Pools.

Select the application pool to configure.

Click Advanced Settings in the right-hand panel.

Under Process Model, locate Identity and click the ... button.

Select Custom Account and enter the credentials of a dedicated service account.

Ensure the account has the least privilege necessary to run the application.

Apply changes and restart the application pool if required.
