Presentation types is the basic classification of data in Signifikant used for parts, assemblies, catalogues, documents etc. Presentation types has a base type and can be its own type.

Overview

Presentation types are defined in the presentatyion type storage and has a set of base types:

  • Part

  • Part assembly

  • Catalogue

  • Document

  • Illustration

  • Content set

Instructions

  1. Go to a part assembly in a catalogue and select it.

  2. In the part assembly click the “Part assembly replace by copy” icon.

  3. A dialogue to make a copy of the existing part assembly will appear.

  4. Fill in a new persistent identity and identity and click ok.

  5. A new part assembly identical to the original will be created and the new part assembly will replace the previous in that location.

 

Note that a backing part may be created during this operation in case the part assembly has a backing part.
