Cross sales and part (color) options

This article describes how to work with cross sales, part options and sales statistics.

Version 5.0. Cross sales and sales statistics is available in version 5 and later. From version 5.1 it is possible to add color options.

Cross sales, part options (color) and sales statistics is a licensed add on module.

Overview

Cross sales function allows to add purchaseable parts to presenatations and presentations in specified locations or presentations with certain specifications. It also enables sales statistics, which is based on sales and only configure, see .

Part options function is a special type of part relation and is used to present alternative parts for a part. Such alternative parts may be useful of a specific part has several alternative parts that provide the exact same function and can be substituted. An example is a part colored in red. Optional parts may then be the same part colored in green, blue, black, white. Parts displayed in the parts options control are all parts defined in the Manager which are sellable or belongs to a valid kit which is sellable. A part is sellable if sellable flag is true or null, and providers (if any) return that part is available.

The options are presented on parts and part rows.

 

Adding part relations in Manager

Note that the license file need to contain cross sales license for function to show in Manager. Cross sales is a licensed add on module.

In version 5.0 cross sales and part options can only be imported in custom modules. From version 5.1 it is possible to add in Manager.

Cross sale parts can be added on parts, assemblies and catalogues. Part options are added on parts. Use the part relations wizard to create part relations.

All part relations can be accessed, reviewed and edited in the part relation group storage.

Adding cross sale parts

Cross sale parts can be added at the following places:

  • Part storage

  • Part assembly storage, on a part assembly or a part row.

  • Catalogue storage

  • Catalogue on a part row.

Follow this procedure to add cross sale parts:

  1. Open the part relation wizard with the context menu. A dialog similar to the below will display.

  2. Select tab Cross sales.

  3. Use the add button to select all cross sale parts for the location.

  4. Select the scope for where the cross sale part is to be displayed by checking one or several of the options. All options must match the location for the cross sale parts to display.
    There are two or three options for each presentation type. Which option to select will depend on how the data looks like, but only select one option for each presentation type.

Adding part options

Part options can only be displayed on parts.

Follow this procedure to add cross sale parts:

  1. Open the part relation wizard with the context menu.

  2. Option A - Select tab Part options with regex and selected parts

    1. Add a regex which matches the parts which are compatible. E.g. parts with the same number but with a suffix for the color can define a group. It can look like this 1234567-XXX where XXX is a color code.

    2. Use the add button to select any additional parts which are compatible.

    3. Select how to identify the part group, based in partnumber, identity or persistent identity.

  3. Option B - Select tabPart options with selected parts.

    1. Use the add button to select all parts which are compatible.
