If a presentation is to be purchaseable, it needs to be connected to an associated part (backing part). Typically this is used if an assembly, a kit or a product is to be purchaseable.
If a presentation has an associated part, that presentation will get an order button, provided that order process is configured.
If a presentation has an associated part, make sure to place specifications and other attributes on the presentation and not on the part.

If user selects a presentation which has an identity which matches the identity or part number of a part, user will get notified that there is an associated part.
This automatic detection of associated parts can be turned off under Options dialogue. This setting is a server setting, so all users will get this setting.
It is also possible to select many presentations in a storage and attach corresponding associated part to all selected presentations.
