Working sets is a function to limit the data in the Manager application based on specifications. It is typically used to allow an user to work on a smaller set of products, rather than all products.

Overview
Working sets can be defined, saved and selected in the options dialogue. Working sets are common for all user sharing the same Signifikant Server, of private when a standalone Signifikant is used.
Once an user has selected a Working set, the user will only see the products which contains any of the selected specifications, and its corresponding part assemblies, documents, content-set and parts. Other repositories; publications, bulletins, specifications, languages, etc. are not limited by a working set.
The user will see that a Working set is selected nd active in two ways:
At the bottom of the window the name of the Working set will be shown in red.
In each storage, filter area will be red and user will see that a Working set is active.

The Working set is active until deselected in the options dialog.
Instructions
Create and select a working set like this
Open Options dialogue and select tab Appearance. Scroll down to setting for Work sets.

Activate usage of Working set function by selecing Yes. If a Working set is selected the name of the selected Working set will display in red.
Click New to create a new Working set. Give it a name and a description.

Click Specifications to select one or more specifications.

When the options dialog is closed, the application will close all windows and connect to the server again - now the limited data set is active. Open sections, parts, documents, repositories to find that a smaller set of rows are fetched.
